The Resurrection choir, dressed in the Easter colours of white and yellow, sings life’s victory over death. There is new life that escapes from power and violence.
Whitsun
Since 1528, the candle makers have had their altar in the chapel of the Holy Blood. Jesus’ life was as a burning candle: totally given till the exhaustion. The candle makers present this scene.
With the Pentecost group, we pass on our faith to the world, dancing and singing. Just as the apostles were caught off guard by the fiery tongues of the Holy Spirit, we also want to literally spread our faith as ‘a running fire’. We express our enthusiasm in various languages. The green clothing with fire accents in gold and red, point to the fresh and fiery start we take at Pentecost. The budding Pentecostal flower emphasises that our faith is born again and again and is passed on with youthful enthusiasm.
