Relic of the Holy Blood
The relic of the Holy Blood is stored in a shrine of the Bruges goldsmith Jan Crabbe (1617). The shrine is made of gold and silver and decorated with pearls, gems and cameos.

Civil authorities
The city’s master of ceremonies opens the delegation. He wears a ceremonial staff that is crowned with a silver bear holding the Bruges coat of arms.
