Prophets
The scene is presented by the Carmelite Fathers because they consider prophet Elijah as their founder.
Throughout history, people arise who want to remind us of our most fundamental mission in life: to be open to the life-giving force of God, to be the creator of peace by living in accordance with God’s will. We call them prophets.
Rorate
The scene is presented by the guild of tailors because the warp and the woof are symbolic for the interweaving of time and eternity in the coming of Jesus Christ.
The ‘Rorate’ is a supplication of man for light upon his existence, for meaning in an apparent senselessness.
